A person who was contacted by feedback on Reddit (verified there by a Blizzard representative) the package includes every previous release of WoW WoTLK Gold expansions in addition to one month of game play time and an "exclusive" game-exclusive item in the event you purchase a ticket to go to the movie. The survey does not declare that the base game is included although it's possible it is what is expected.
In the moment, Blizzard is only exploring the idea. If they do offer a package, the content could change between now and when the film arrives.
P2Pah has contacted Blizzard to gain more information on the company's plans on possibilities for crossover between World of Warcraft and WoW.
The next expansion for WoW, Legion, launches this summer, and it's also when the Duncan Jones-directed World of Warcraft comes to cinemas. Game creator Brian Holinka told P2Pah in November that the film's release might draw new players to WoW.
"It's more of a broadening in the accessibility of our universe to everybody," he said about the film in the moment. "For us, our primary concern is on the game. It doesn't matter if the film is in the game or not, the expansion and the quality of the gameplay experience and game content -- is really what's will make people stick to play the game. I'm sure it'll get plenty of players excited and it's likely to draw lots of people into"buy WoTLK Gold," which is positive."
